1015 Fifteenth Street, NW

1015 Fifteenth Street, NW was the first project in Washington developed under the "Woodies Act," which enabled developers to lease the air rights above and below a public area in order to join properties. After Woodward & Lothrop pushed for the legislation, Akridge pioneered effective guidelines with the District, enabling this innovative project to span a public alley and gain valuable continuous frontage on Fifteenth Street. 1015 Fifteenth Street was sold to Teachers Annuity in 2001.
